It’s time for our 8th Annual Pig Pickin’, a two-day extravaganza! And it’s all at Gulf Cove United Methodist Church on Friday and Saturday, February 11 and 12.

The Arts & Craft Fair with its handmade treasures will be there on both days. This awesome shopping experience will be available on Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm, and on Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Vendors, there is still time for you to sign up to show off your handmade wares. Just call Barb at 941-276-7281.
Our Pig Pickin’ will be served on Friday from 11:00am to 7:00pm. Just $15 will get you a generous portion of Chef Alfred’s pulled pork or turkey plate plus lots of extras, and sauce on the side! You can dine-in (and get a beverage thrown in) or use our EZ-Drive-Thru to pick up your take-outs.

For dessert on Friday, also from 11:00am to 7:00pm, purchase your choice of homemade cookies from the $6-per-container Cookie Dash table. Don’t worry … you drive-thru’ers won’t miss out, cuz’ the Cookie Dash will have a stand in the drive-thru lane, too.

Since you’ll be hungry again by Saturday, join us from 8:00am to 12:30pm for Boy Scout Troop 776’s Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser. The menu includes pancakes, an omelet bar with Chef Alfred and his Junior Chefs, and much more – for just $12. All this to help the troop with their camps and travels!

Get your $15 Pig Pickin’ tickets from anyone who attends Gulf Cove UMC, and your $12 Pancake Breakfast tickets from Larry Davis (770-869-5618). Both tickets are also available in the church office (941-697-1747) which is open Monday thru Thursday from 8:00am to 2:30pm and on Friday from 8:00am to noon (except for holidays). Just remember, the earlier you buy your tickets, the better the chance we won’t run out — ‘cuz we’ll know ahead of time how many of y’all are comin’ to chow down!

Gulf Cove UMC is the Church with the Blue Roof and is located at 1100 S. McCall Road (Route 776) in the Gulf Cove area of Port Charlotte. It’s just three-quarters of a mile south of the Myakka River. Remember – Friday & Saturday, February 11 and 12. Come hungry, with your shopping list, and bring a friend!
